Harburger Blatt: Wall Newspaper

July 4 — July 26, 2020

Until 2013, Harburg had its own newspaper, the Harburger Anzeigen und Nachrichten. Since then there has been a Harburg section in the Hamburger Abendblatt. But also another type of local newspaper that was founded in response to the ceasing of HAN: the Harburger Blatt. It is published every two weeks and is less dedicated to current events than initiatives, backgrounds, stories and general, continuous urgencies that, like elsewhere in the world, can also be found in Harburg. People living on site write and a reporting-objective view is not even asserted - this evolves rather between the polyphony and over the course of time. It also fits that a cover drawing and drawings for the inside pages are created for each new edition, which together with photos illustrate the content.
This way of making newspapers is not alone in the world and references can also be found in the artistic field. We are pleased that the summer edition of the Harburger Blatt can be read as a wall newspaper in the KVHBF Vitrinen for three weeks.
