Artis talk with Rosh Zeeba

December 15 at 7:00 PM — December 15, 2021 at 8:00 PM

"A multifacetted muse thinks in multiple brains, speaks in multiple languages, & exists in multiple realms of otherness, and she would not have it any other way." - Rosh Zeeba

Rosh Zeeba are currently showing the exhibition Opulent Silence in the showcases of the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, in which layering of content levels play a central role. We would like to take the exhibition as an opportunity to talk with Zeeba about storytelling, glitch feminism and radical, artistic image production.

Rosh Zeeba (born in Tehran) work in the fields of performance, video and film. They studied applied theater in Giessen and time-based media and film at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. Using extended media through a performative approach allows them to rethink the notion of storytelling and expand the realm of queer orientalist futurism. Zeeba engage in post-dramatic cinema, post-cyberfeminism, and queer theory. Their works and lectures have been held at Blicke Filmfestival (Bochum, GER), Balkan Can Kino (Athens, GRK), Tetem (Enschede/ (NL), MOM art space and RaumLinksRechts (Hamburg, GER), Filmarche, Berlin, (GER), Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival (GRK), among others.
