On Saturday, June 6 the artists Oswald Vera, Rui Campos and Konstantin Bessonov will accompany the ABYSSAL.

Oswald Vera (b. 1942, lives in El Salvador, Chile) has written and rejected 14 novels. His poems were published in various underground magazines in Chile in the early 1960s.

Rui Campos (b. 1983, lives and works in Bremen) is a poet, translator from Spanish and literary scholar with a focus on obscure poetry from South America.

Konstantin Bessonov is a sound and performance artist working in the fields of music, soundscaping and contemporary dance. Among other things, he is the co-founder of the music label STOFFE and the concert series 4fakultät.

The ABYSSAL is the physical headquarters of the BAD BOY JESUS CITY SWIMMERS CLUB and resides within the Kunstverein bar. It is is reopening its doors, the ABYSSAL is also opening—at the threshold between real and digital space to begin with. During the Kunstverein’s regular opening hours, the ABYSSAL—whose name refers to the bottomless depths of the ocean—will broadcast a weekly rotating audio program of artists’ contributions, sounds, and live recordings into the exhibition space and on the Kunstverein's website from their headquarters in the bar.

The BAD BOY JESUS CITY SWIMMERS CLUB will also be officially present here every Saturday and may invite guests, too.
