SLOW READING CLUB / ADD LABEL
Folding Shirt, 2019

Folding Shirt is wearable text and publishing gesture designed to neighbour a collective reading session by Slow Reading Club in September 2019, at the exhibition Hi Ventilation. By successively folding the fabric of the shirt into preordained postures, the reader/wearer surfaces the surface for reading; furrowing three meeted texts against and through each other (William, Marshall, Leo).

Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof and the artists in our program are collaborating on a series of clothing editions with Hamburg based fashion label AddLabelfounded in 2016 by Taalke Schöningh and Sabrina Seifried. Plain cotton T-Shirts and accessories in a variety of colors are at the core of this label's design, that is outsourced to changing visual artists as a frame for a conceptual artwork.
