BIANCA BALDI
Eyes in the Back of Your Head

To have “Eyes in the Back of Your Head” is to know everything that is happening around you, thus transcending the physical restrictions of the human perspective. For her first solo exhibition in a German institution, Bianca Baldi will present a textile installation at Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, which creates a seemingly floating labyrinth, as well as sculptures and a new video work.

60 million Americans can’t be wrong

MELVIN MOTI
Hyperspace

In his project, the "Hyperspace“ Dutch artist Melvin Moti approaches the idea of multi-dimensional and reduced spaces. His 24-minute-long 35mm film "The eightfold dot" (2013) presents an abstract narrative that begins with the point, continues with the line then progresses to the square and the cube, all the way to the hypercube, which acts as form and symbol of the fourth dimension.

KERSTIN CMELKA
All Change

Kerstin Cmelka's interest in the format of "microdramas" provides the focus in her exhibition at the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof. The short dramatic texts of frequently performed plays – considering their distribution – have gained the popularity of a folk play. Arranged in an installation of video projections, the plays physically direct the viewer through the exhibition space.

Insert - never the same colour

With KATRIN MAYER, ESKE SCHLÜTERS and HEIKO KARN

In a film an insert is a commented text overlay, an intertitle or an inserted cut.
The exhibition of Katrin Mayer, Eske Schlüters and Heiko Karn perceives itself as a spacious inserted text - between the curated TV-program, the questioning of the television as social medium and the structures of the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof as institution located at a place of transit.

STEFAN PANHANS and ANDREA WINKLER
Gefangenes Zimmer II

Andrea Winkler’s room installations are characterized by minimal interventions as well as by subtly alienated » new stagings« of everyday fragments. The term »gefangenes Zimmer« (captivated room) is used on Hamburg’s housing market to describe a room which is only accessible via other rooms.
