The realism in "Realismus mit Schleife" (Realism with a Bow) is not one that reproduces images of reality, but rather one that—in all its entanglement—asks: how does one even make an image of it?
"One day, MINNA BEUFF heard the message 'Alarm' on the radio, and
then on the television there was a picture of a little boy slurping
noodle soup in the hall, because there was no space for him in the
single room where nine people had to live. So MINNA BEUFF went back to
those who had sounded the 'alarm' and let SUNDAES be sundaes." (from Chris Reinecke: MINNA BEUFF. Alarm. Novel Part III, Büro Olympia, 1970)
In a theatrical setting the exhibition for the first time merges all parts of "Rheingold" about the development and entanglement of democracy, economy and art as a historical and still current conglomerate of misunderstood approaches.
"Stockholm Syndrome" takes as its starting point the inculcation of
social roles at the point where the individual and the collective intersect. It examines the mechanisms of identification, attribution and
suggestion in terms of their performative, spatial and social aspects.

Using a language of form characterised by the
provisional, functionality and
future promise, the Corporation of people’s
situations (COPS) has installed a spatial situation at the
Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof comprising materials and elements taken
from construction sites, as well as equipment and components from the
world of sport and leisure activities. Scaffolding, sheets of foil,
belts and mats are deployed and adapted for different use in
gymnastic exercises, as meeting places and as infrastructure for an
open archive. In the sense of a mobile, modular multipurpose toolbox,
which can be shifted around and reconfigured into various different
parkours, the installation becomes the framework and starting point
for several COPS-initiated situations.
have “Eyes in the Back of Your Head” is to know everything that
is happening around you, thus transcending the physical restrictions
of the human perspective. For
her first solo exhibition in a German institution, Bianca Baldi will
present a textile installation at Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof,
which creates a seemingly floating labyrinth, as well as sculptures
and a new video work.
